seed buddy + go green
AWARENESS: BROADENING YOUR HORIZONS
The package for the everyday city dweller looking to make their space more green. The goal for this project was to take an agricultural issue such as land and air pollution within cities and create a simple solution to help better educate an audience on the issue on a small scale through design. This project is a set of all the tools needed to bring a simple green infrastructure into someone's apartment, living space, or office in an easy and simple manner.
This project was a partner project. It had two main parts visual research + design. We worked closely together in first researching, choosing a topic, and then creating a design concept. To start we each created our own brand for the project. Then we agreed upon a design that included both of our branding elements. We crafted the Seed Buddy Box to perfectly host all the components of this project set while making sure to keep an overall brand identity to the collection.

PART 1:
With research, my partner and I identified a specific issue in Detroit we landed on pollution, but more specifically industrialization. Through which we considered, interpreted and re-thought how we can tell our unique story.
The front of the map shows industrialization in Detroit and the back shows the greeen potential use of the land to help counter the pollution issue. We focused on Industrialization of land use in Detroit and how it specifically focuses on the soil and water quality of the land. The green infrastructure potential, showcases a solution to bettering the land pollution issues. It shows how the city could start to improve the quality of life of its citizens by implementing initiatives like rainwater gardens, community gardens, farm and orchards, and plant and tree buffers. The front shows affected areas of pollution and the back shows what can be done in these areas to better the issues.

PART 2:
MOCKUP SKETCH:
We had to get the dimensions of all the material included in each box before I could design the exact box size This took some trial and error and having to print mockups to physically hold them and see if they worked.
COLOR PALLET + ICONS:
To give a natural feel we went with neutral greens and shaped the icons with simple organic shapes.
LANGUAGE:
We used language that had a sense of humor to bring life to an informative packet.
