TYPE PAIRING:
I was looking for a typeface that has a thinner stroke to give it a soft and less bold feeling. I really liked how some of these typefaces had openness and space that felt “flowy”
The font I landed on had interesting letters and changed from upper case to lower case so I used a mix of up and lower to get the look I wanted.
DETAILS:
I combined lower + upper case front together to get the flowy shape I wanted to reflect the flow and bend shapes seen in yoga poses.
I created an outline for the font and ungrouped it. Then I connected the W & Y by using a direct selection tool. I still felt the font seemed a bit rigid so I made each letters sans serif round to feel more friendly and inviting
COLOR:
I chose colors that felt natural and light but had contrast to kept it feeling whimsical and fun while keeping it subtle.
